problem with heater

I'm think that my heater core is going but maybe it is something else.

When I put it on heat, I smell antifreeze, the front windshield gets fog on it, but does not have the green tint to it just hard to see out. Plus I hear a hissing sound may have a vaccum leak but nt sure But I have A/C. Has anyone every had this problem before.

Yea its the heater core. Take off the kick panel and look for any trace of anti freeze. If the smell gets stronger its the heater core.

that's the thing Is i have look for wet spots, but I have not found any. I the price of a new heater core is like 25 dollars. I just do not want to take the dash a part to replace. But I guess that is the only way.
