Radiator mounted thermal fan switch problems

I just hooked up mine, and the probe isnt working. Its just not sending power to the relay, I jumped power around and all the electrical connections are good, the probe just isnt working. Its supposed to complete the circuit at 190* and I let it go all the way up to 240 (by accident). I have it mounted about 4 inches from the left and a little less than halfway down the radiator. Any suggestions?
