Coolant/Antifreeze???

I just flushed my system and was told not to use dexron coolant which GM recommends. I heard it gives a nasty build up in the radiator with some kind of gunk or gum. Anyway I heard dexron blows, so what i want to know is what everyone is running coolant wise and what your mixture is. Funny thing is royal purple says you cant run their additive unless dexron has been through the system first. So anyway I am looking at buying either Peak Performance or THE YELLOW JUG.....(drum rolls)........PRESTONE. Says its good for ANY MAKE ANY MODEL? What shall I run and at what mixture?

Same here, I use water that's when run through one of those purifying filters. If the car is old that's what I use.

My 96Z came with Dex-death from the factroy but I flushed that stuff after the expensive LT-1 factory water pump failed at 41,000 miles. Swithced all of my vehicles over to Peak products and have been satisfied so far...

After mixing anti-freeze for years trying to get the ratio as close to 50/50, I decided it was easier to purchase the pre-mixed jugs and get the job done.
