HELP! Crossover Coolant Line

I have an LT1 that has had the fuel injection removed and replaced with a carburated intake. My question is how do I rig up the infamous crossover steam vent tube on the back of the heads to work properly. I can't not use a stock one( I believe the distributor is in the way). Can I cut one up and splice in a piece of rubber hose??? Can I make one from scratch??? Where do I re route it to since I have no pressurized tank? Can I route it around to one of the hole in the front of the head? I need some help here because I do not want to run this thing with plugs in the crossover tube holes. Any Help will be greatly appreciated...Pics...anything.
