Anyone got any ideas?
Hey guys, I got my new radiator tonight, and started putting it in. It's a Titan 19x31, and, width wise, it fits great, it's the height that I'm running into problems. I can't seem to get the filler neck to clear the hood.

This is before I pounded down the top and bottom "ridges". It's better now, but still a bit too tall.

I took a towel and a hammer, and gently folded the tabs on the top and bottom down (don't have a picture of it afterwords), so that it could sit flat on the tray. This just about took care of the problem. I can almost close the hood, but still need about an 1/8" or a 1/4" of clearance.
I called it a night, and am going to hit it again tomarrow, but figured I'd ask the experts. Are you guys cutting away any of the tray underneath to fit these big ole radiators?
Thanks!

Well, I took another look at it today, and solved the problem.
The secret combo was...
hammer, hammer, hammer, sawzall, hammer hammer, dremmel, hammer, hammer, beer, beer, beer, hammer.
theres a bit more tweaking to be done tomorrow, but when all is said and done, it should look pretty nice.
I spent the last hour pissed off because I just could NOT get the filler neck to clear the hood. I huffed and puffed, got frustrated, and then realised that, the neck was clearing fine, my hood latch was just a little off alignment. AHHHHHH DERRRRRRR....
I was reluctant to push to hard on it because it's a fiberglass hood, so it took me an extra minute to realise what the problem actually was. Not one of my finer moments.
