After driving for a while my car overheats and wont start till it cools off, also theres white smoke that comes out of the exhaust, i usually wont shut the car off if i notice it like when i go to a store or something cause ill have to wait like 45+ minutes for it to cool down, then itll start right up.. Im thinking theres a leak in the head gaskets?? Havent pressure tested it yet but i checked all the hoses and such and couldnt find anything so im assuming its internal.. any help would be greatly appreciated.. if the head gaskets need to be replaced im gonna send my heads to a shop and have them done over while theyre out.. How thick is the white smoke? Have u checked the condition of the oil? You sure are describing a blown head gasket.

 

Oil is good, theres not a whole lot of white smoke, its kinda like someone is smoking a ciggarette behind my car...

 

Either a blown head gasket or cracked head.

 

well i had a rocker arm mounting bolt back out on me today and mess some stuff up so im gonna get new heads and gaskets with them..
