Help! I just installed a new radiator today, and had to do a few flushes due to an old, dirty cooling system. Everything installed fine, but as I was letting the car idle, it just got hot, and the fan wouldn't kick on. I drove it, thinking that I just needed to run it for awhile, and once I got back, same thing; no fan. I checked the plug going in to the bottom of the fan motor, and the connection is fine.

I have been doing some work on the cooling system the past two weeks. I first blew a heater hose and replaced all the hoses, and as I was doing this I found a crack in the plastic on the radiator. As far as I know, the fan was working fine the last time I drove the car, which was about 3 days ago.

I checked the fuse under the dash...its fine...any ideas?

Have you checked the fan relay?

Re: Electric fan won't turn on!
Use search tool on the cooling thread,( this one), get your printer stocked with paper and get ready for some reading, also see the stickies on this. Quickly though the wire to the rear of the pass side head is the thermal switch ground. If you unhook it from the head and ground it with ignition on, the fan should come on. many are melted and ruined if exhaust work was done. Good luck!
