I just did the LT1 swap. I understand the LT1 runs much hoter than my stock TBI 305 did. but how hot is too hot. I believe normal temp is like 210 or so. But if it gets to 260 is that too hot, or can they handel more heat? I only ask because my cars fans don't kick on until around 230 and I've seen temps get up to around 260... Highway speeds the car never gets close to 220. but in traffic its hard to keep the temp down as low as 220.
