oil cooler question

oil cooler question

ive got an oil cooler going on my car, and just wondering, its a good sized piece, i think it holds like 24oz of oil. am i supposed to fill it before i install it? or do i just fill the engine, 5 quarts, and then add as needed?

Just install it and forget about it. It'll fill with oil quickly enough when the engine starts.
