Over Heating. Temps climbing to 260!!!

Hey guys, I just got done with my 113 head swap. I am having a couple of problems and one of them is with the cooling system. The guage is reading at 260 after only a couple minutes of running. I have no idea why its getting that hot. During the head swap I installed a brand new water pump, new 180 degree thermostat, flushed all the coolant out and installed a new temperature guage sending unit. Radiator is less than a year old also. Any ideas on why my car is getting that hot?

Is it boiling into the overflow tank?

I made a new post, I believe its mainly due to my fan not turning on. https://www.thirdgen.org/forums/cool...t-turning.html

Since you replaced the water pump, make sure you got the right one. I believe `87 and up with serpentine belt is reverse rotation and up to `86 with v-belts is standard rotation.
