Which Fan setup is the best? LT1 or LS1

Which is better to run? or do they both produce the same results???

I ordered an LS1 shroud+fans from a site but received an LT1 setup

before i call to complain, what is everyone's opinion?

Well, if GM has made nothing but progress, the LS1 fan setup is superior. Some people voice issues that the shroud is "restricting airflow at speed" but I don't believe so, or else GM would have left the holes in the LT1 shroud in. I just bought an LS1 shroud+fans from LS1Tech for $130. They look brand new, but the harness was cut. No biggie, as I can use the old wiring. Gonna swap 'em in when I switch over to serpentine.

do these shrouds direct-fit on our cars? do they still use the upper and lower radiator mounts?

I just finished installing an LT1 dual fan shroud with 12"after-market fans. Next time I would use the LS1 shroud and LS1 fans. The LT1 shroud required a lot of cutting and fabrication to fit flush on the radiator core and I am still not quite done. I went out for a road test yesterday and the temp got up to 250, much hotter than before the change. I just read the fine print with the fans that says to make sure to check that they are rotating correctly for your application, this after the instructions say in large print that they are shipped as pullers! Reversed the wires today and will try another road test tomorrow, I confirmed that they are now pullers.
