well need advice on fan switch

wel i need some advice .

im going to buy a fan switch since mine crapped out and im wondering which temperature range i should get?

keep in mind that cooler is always good but i dont want to effect the temperature operating range while in the cold new york weather.

Re: well need advice on fan switch

Ok, you're going to have 140 while moving then, but at a standstill (doesn't matter how cold it is outside) the temp is going to crawl up to 200, the fan starts and brings it down to 185 before it stops, and when you start moving again it's going to drop to 140. That's quite a large temperature swing and I don't know how your engine is going to respond. I'd suggest getting a switch closer to the stat temp. Or why not run a 180 stat? When it's cold outside you'll want some heat in the car, and it's better for the engine too..

Re: well need advice on fan switch

yea im might just get the 200 on and 185 off i might raise the stat im going
to experiment

so this might be an issue on how cold the car might run while still being in operating range but still not to dam hot
