OVER HEATING PROBLEMS!!!!!!!!!!

Hi i am having over4 heating problems wit my 88 2.8 rs let me tell you a little bit about the situation first i bought the car last year when we pulled it into the yard it over heated we didnt know why but had to pull it into that garage because it was being put away for the winter anyways we recently brought it here to my house and have been working on it we replaced the thermostat and other basic tuneup like setting the valves my fan isnt hooked up now and wasnt when i bought it noticed when i got it here that the idiot i bought it from had it so you just lay the wire over the positive terminal of the battery post for the fan to come on so i looked for the relay and couldnt find it so i did the only thing i knew to do and that was i just brought it to a switch in the car . som other things the car has is a bigger exhaust the egr (i think its called that the thing the vacuum line goes to which routes exhaust into the throttle body ) isnt hooked up right now another thing i thought it might be is the sensor doen on the exhaust pipe isnt hooked up right the guy just has the wire twisted together. i am 16 and all help would be much appreciated thanks

Re: OVER HEATING PROBLEMS!!!!!!!!!!

I would prob change the water pump. water pump could of went bad and would cause over heating problems. If you change that you might as well change the antifreeze also.
