big block running a bit high, how can i keep cool?
my wallet went flat this past week due to my problem of running 220* well i thought i had that fixed, until i put the front clip back on and drove it to my buddies shop and we painted it, its about a 25 mile ride, when i had the front end off, due to getting new fenders and such, i consistantly stayed 180* i guess with all that extra airflow, well now, its stays around 220. i have a derale 16" 2175 cfm fan, and the griffin radiator, my process of trying to cool it down has involved me to convert to short water pump, new pulleys new alt. bracket, and a 350$ set of dual puller fans, there nice and all, but i fired em up and they are way to loud!!! its the flexalite set there supposed to move 4600 cfm @ 38amps <~~(bit high?) so I have been thinking about using a mechanical fan on a 1" spacer to put it 2" from radiator, it will have to be a small one due to the big block, 14" seems to be the right measurement, and also using my 16" electric fan as a pusher like it has been.?? any suggestions or past expireinces would be nice

oh i no this might sound ridiculous, but i me new water pump is edelbrocks high flow pump, but like a dummy i ordered underdrive pulleys.. will the high flow pump make it for the underdrive pulley?i have tried anything yet.. still waitn to find the right alternator brackt to fit with the short water pump set up, done tried 2, and they dont fit hood clearence just waitin on the next one 2 arrive.
