How to wire an electric fan?

I just bought an electric fan from another 3rg gen to replace my mechanical fan but I need to know how to wire it. I dont want a hack job like running a wire from my fuse box all the way to the fan or from the battery to a switch inside my car. Do I need a relay and if so what kind do I need? I want it to run all the time as I have no temerature thermostat.

first off...you do not want your fan to run constantly.second i wired mine to opperated off a switch on my center concol.it is a clean simple almost un-noticable mod, depending on the installer.

Re: How to wire an electric fan?

Get a 190'C temp switch (for a SBC), 1 40 AMP relay, 7m 10 guage black wire, 5m 10 guage red wire and a pack of spade connectors then PM me for a wiring diagram and some help on what to do from there.

EDIT: oh and antifreeze w/rust inhibitor coz you are gona loose some when installing the temp switch.

Re: How to wire an electric fan?

I bought a universal thermo switch and relay kit from autozone, it came with wiring diagram and looks pretty easy, I will be installing it this weekend.
