ok my water outlet is crack and leaking and cant find one with out ordering.so what will it hurt if i took the thermostat out? it shouldnt leak then cus there wont be any pressure and yes this is temperately until the new water outlet comes in...

if its just a small leak, use some bars leaks.. it'll seal it right up.. if you do that, make sure you read and follow the directions correctly..

even without a thermostat it will still build pressure and leak as soon as it gets warm, it builds pressure due to heat not do to having a thermostat. Don't use any leak stopper crap, just fix it right and avoid clogging something up. If its just the waterneck with a hairline crack in it and you need a temporary solution take it off fill the crack with some strong 2 part epoxy and it should hold up until you get a new one.

well im going to see if i take the thermostat out if it will stop leaking..cause im tired of smelling and adding anti-freeze/water every day.the new water outlet wont be here until thursday..
