Trans and engine oil coolers

I was wonderin. I was thinking about putting an engine and trans oil cooler in my car. Now Iv'e looked it up and its not very hard to do...but I'm not sure of how big of a difference it would make. My car currently burns oil pretty badly being an older car (even though I put Gastrol high mileage in it) I was just wondering how it would help cooling and/or horsepower
Thanks!

Re: Trans and engine oil coolers

Best transmission cooler would be a Long Tru-Cool. They have a bypass along the top that skips the oil cooler when it's too cold.

At this time of year, I don't think it's really needed for cooling. Horsepower? Negligible.
