Help with a leak

I need some help with a coolant leak. I noticed this past summer that I was losing a small amount of fluid every few weeks. I did not see any puddles under the car. I finally parked the car for the winter and now have time to check it out. I did pressure test the cooling system and noticed a small leak at the top radiator hose on the block side. The other leak I found is somewhere on the rear of the engine or manifold. I was putting on a new starter at the time. The one starter bolt was dripping with coolant and the plastic cover that goes over the tranny/engine connection had coolant dripping from it. I checked as far as I could see up the block from underneath but could not see a line where it was running down. I did see the head gaskets and it was not coming from there. I checked the rear of the intake manifold from the top but could not see anything up there either. Anyone have a similar problem or can someone guide me on what to check. It is hard to see the back of the intake manifold with so much stuff in the way (distributor, coil, hoses, etc.)

Re: Help with a leak

just replaced my heater control valve, it had cracked on the plastic inlet inside on hose where it couldn't be seen. The crack allowed a tiny bit of fluid to trickle down, then drip into the black wiring case, and finally roll to back of the block and drip down. $16.25 w tax for the part at Advance & little replacing & have been good to go since
