Temp gauge not working on 3.1 to 5.7 TBI swap

Hey guys, my dad(eds56) and I are trying to finish up our 3.1L V6 to 5.7L TBI swap... However, my temp gauge is not working at all. We are running the V8 Computer and instead of fussing with making changes to the V6 circuit for the CTS, we decided to splice in the actual V8 CTS/MAP/TPS circuit. So I know the circuit and wiring are correct, and we've rung it out multiple times now.

Now I read on here somewhere that when your CTS is going bad your car will run rich(or was it lean?). Ours appears to be running fine. Any ideas?

I also should note that I currently have the V6 Instrument Cluster. I have a 91 V8 Cluster but I have yet to install it. Does that have anything to do with it?

Thanks in advance.

Are you talking about the temp gauge on the dash? The computer does not control that one. The one for the computer is in the front of the intake manifold with yellow and black wires.

The one for the dash is a screw-in plug in the driver's side head between the #1 and #3 cylinders. Check to make sure there is the correct wire plugged in there. It has a flat circle connector and the wire slides onto it.

haha yep it was the second one. When I was moving the wire to get it away from the headers I apparently forgot to plug it back in
