My 305 tbi
Its running at 220-240 sometimes, my airdam is there though... I am used to my 2.8 always running like 170-180.
Would a 160 thermostat work for this? there was very little coolant in the resivoar so i filled her up to the cold line. Would this have dont it?

Is it a new car or did you do a swap?
Check the level in the radiator (cold!). If it gets air in it it wont pull in new coolant from the overflow.
