92 with a leak
somewhere i have a leak in my 305 RS '92 Camaro. it seems to be drinking coolant and appears to have no drips on the ground. there is some green- yellow residue (i use the green-yellow coolant) below the intake near the water pump.
what are the common problems of that year
it has 136k miles and a daily driver, which is not much, mostly short drives.
if there is a fix could an 18 year old fix it with limited engine experience and how much would it cost?

Re: 92 with a leak
there is a lot of things in that area that could leak. it could be the hose or the t stat housing if there is residue on the intake. if there isnt some there it could be the waterpump gasket or if ur pump is bad it could be the weeping hole. if its the original pump it probably is past its prime. none of those leaks are too hard to fix

most auto parts stores have system press. testers . many will test system free for you , or rent you tester . easy to use , remove rad. cap , install tester , pump bulb , find leak . good luck .
