Had trouble with this a year or so ago, got rid of the fusible link
(put a fuse in its place) It's my sons car, don't know how long it's been acting up. Changed the water pump early this week, yesterday he said it was getting hot when sitting in traffic, but cooled off once he was moving.
Checked it today, fan will run if I jump the wires at the relay, but won't start when I turn on the A/C (which may be slightly low on freon) and we ran it til temp reached 220, still no fan.
Any ideas will be appreciated.

It's a 2.8, but never mind, when I jumped it earlier, I just jumped the
hot wire to the fan wire (at relay plug) which told me fan and wiring was
good - went back and grounded green wire, no run, switched relays and
grounding relay turned on fan, so 10 bucks later, it's fixed
