info please?
Camaro
1992
v8 350
so I just had the driver side fan motor replaced last week. It turns on at a little over 220 degrees according to my temp gauge inside my car. Once the fan kicks on the temp lowers. Now the second electric motor does not kick on with it. I was told it only goes on when the A/C unit is turned on. I do not see it go on even when the other one is on and my A/C is on full blast. At what point is the second fan, the one on the passenger side supposed to go on?
also what is the normal running temp for a camaro like mine? and last, I heard that my generation of camaro (and corvette) display a higher temperature than what it is truly running at. Is that true?
thanks so much. any info would be great. Keep it simple too because I'm not super familiar with the cooling system.

Re: info please?
On my 89 iroc, the pass. fan is suppose to turn on if the driver fan fails to turn on and the temp reaches about 245 degrees via the cooling fan switch located in between the # 6 and 8 spark plugs in the pass. side head. The pass. fan will also turn on if the ac is turned on. If your ac is working properly and the pass. fan is not on, the ac high pressure switch might be bad. My normal temps is around 185 to 190 driving down the road, but when its sitting, the temps will go up to 230 before the driver fan turns on to cool it back down.
