Follow up on my car over heating

Ok I think I did find out why my heat doesnt work even when the motor is overheating. The diverter valve has a vacuum hose that is not working at all. Anybody know where that hose is linked up at? I looked in the books and couldnt figure it out but I bet its disconnected somewhere or clogged up.

the vaccum used to open and close that line comes from the intake. There should be many small black hoses that come from the climate control through the firewall. follow those... the connection to the intake might have fell off at some point.

Woohoo I figured it out. I fixed the overheating and the heat problem. My cooling system was not cycling back to the water pump so the cycle was broke causing no flow through the heater core and also causing the motor to get hot. The water pump I put on my uncle said there may be a plugg in the return line connection so for now we bypassed it straight to the radiator so now i have circulation. Oh and the vacuum line on the diverter valve will only have vacuum when the ac is on. when that vacuum sucks on that vlave it closes the flow to the heater core so it no longer puts off heat so that fixed my vacuum issue i thought i had.. Now I can drive and not worry about anything.
