Help, what is the sensor called that plugs into radiator?
i bought what i guess was a universal radiator on ebay for my 88 iroc, 5 speed. i am assuming it is some type of coolant sensor for an automatic transmission car. anyway, it is leaking. it is on the radiator on the battery side above where the tranny cooler lines would scrrew in, i think the o-rings were bad but when i went to take it out, the clips broke off so now i defintely need a new one. i have no idea what it is called. it has a single blade connector. help would be appreciated. i dont know how long it would take for the company to send a replacement so i'd like to just buy one.

It sounds like it's for a Trans Am or GTA wih the digital dash, most new radiators nowadays come with it even if your car didn't originally have it. This should be it, does it look like this?

The digital dash was the only thirdgen gauge cluster to have a low coolant function, in the driver's info center.

Thanks. yea- I found it it is the low coolant sensor. I guess some of the earlier 80's camaros had it as well. the radiator i bought for my iroc was a universal fit for 82-92 so i guess they had to have that on there. the damn thing was leaking so i had to find a replacement even though i dont have a low coolant light. thanks for responding. i found mine at NAPA. part # ECHFLS604 if anyone needs one.
