check engine code 15

check engine code 15

Howdy i had a check engine light on and i tested it and it came back code 15. Low temperature indicated at engine coolant temp sensor. what is the best way to fix this problem?? also where is this sensor located

tpi or tbi? if you have the means of testing the sensor (ohm meter) then test it. if not, replace the sensor, they are like $15 bucks. on a tpi engine its located in the front of the intake manifold just above the water pump. on a tbi i don't know where its located, maybe the same place.

ok so it is a 305 tpi. i found the coolant sensor. however its not hooked up and plus I cant find the cable that should hook up to it or how it should be ran. this car has many loose wires... that i plan on trying to figure out where they go...

it should come out of a loom on the passenger side of the throttle body along with a few other sensor wires (tps, iac, air, a/c)

thats why its throwing a code. because its not hooked up.

ok so i re hooked up the sensor and code still on. so i went to the store and got a new one. put it on and the light is still on......should i pull the batter cable off again or any other ideas from yall? thanx for the help
