Radiator Drain Plug Problem
Radiator Drain Plug Problem
In my infinite knowledge, I decided to let a high school who lives next door to drain my radiator for me, as I was headed on a long travel the next day and had to work a double.
I come home to the drain plug being completely broken off and the hole not quite the same size (you can see its bigger and slightly bent.)
The kid has promised me a new radiator, but not quite in the time I need it.
I was wondering if anybody knows of any way to plug the hole until a new radiator can be found?
I would guess it needs to be plugged for about a month.
I am willing to try any ideas as I need this car tomorrow night.
I drive an 85 Trans Am 305 4 BBL.

Re: Radiator Drain Plug Problem
Get it to a radiator shop, they might be able to save it or at least solder some metal over the hole.
