Leaking

Okay well a few days ago i discovered my lower radiator hose was leaking off the bottom. so this morning i bought a new one and got it changed, ran it for a few minutes and all seemed good. But then i did a run to walmart and came out and saw coolant on the ground. Now when i got home i checked for the leak and it was still in same location as it was leaking off the old stock hose. Im out of ideas, could the new hose just be defective or am i missing something. Im pretty right now.

Re: Leaking

the radiator is leaking, not the hose

i assume you have the hose clamped properly

Re: Leaking

Weep hole from the water pump or bad water pump?

Try following the leak farther up, it should tell you which way it's coming from.

^what he said, another place to check. Water will run to the lowest point before dripping. My waterpump gasket was leaking and the water was dripping off my oil filter

Re: Leaking

Water pumps are made to leak before they go out, so check there as post above states.

Re: Leaking

Thanks guys, i just read your post, and yall are right, its the water pump. i thought i had to work, when actually i didnt, and then i saw the car leaking the worst it ever has, and then i checked, i saw water behind the harmonic balancer, and it certainly was the water pump, saw i bought a new one since i was at work aka i work for advance auto parts, and im going to have it put on tomorrow. I cant believe i was blind for the entire week. yes all clamps were tight btw.
