fan switch help needed!

fan switch help needed!
could too much teflon tape on the fan switch sensor thats in the passenger side head cause the fan to not kick on?

Possibly, the switch needs to be grounded to work. The tape may be acting as a insulator and not be giving the switch a ground. I would recommend using a liquid teflon sealant on the fan switch. If you ground the wire going to the switch does the fan come on?

trying to let it cool down some so i can reach in between my header tubes to unplug it.

i recommend a new connector and radiant wire jacket for the puny wire. plus i Teflon isnt needed, try that blue rtv stuff.its still metal on metal.,

to keep from cluttering the other thread anymore........
yes the other sending unit works the same way. They need to be able to ground through the sensor into the engine block.
