Temp and stalling
Randomly my third gen trans am will overheat and then stall but not on a consistent basis. I did a two/three radiator flushes (highly recommended for those of you with an original radiator). I replaced the thermostat. It stays at 180 for about a half and hour then will start creeping up to the 220 mark. After theat when I see it creeping to the 220 mark and then come to an eventual stop the car will stall. I can restart it with no troubles but the same thing will happen. Any thoughts, ideas? I will repalce everyhting related to these problems if I have too. I just need a checklist of things to look for. Thanks in advance!

Re: Temp and stalling
Not sure if this will help, but I live out in AZ so cold is not really a factor. I put in a 160* thermostat in my 1983 trans am, and flushed everything. Now my car doesn't go over 200* ever and runs perfect, and we are having 112* days! Also make sure your front lower deflector is bolted on right, those are a must to force air into the radiator.
