Cool Bird

ok , so i have a stock 88 lo3 and i recently did a headgasket replacement , but now my upper radiator hose gets extremely hard " my guess is due to the thermo. " then my coolant reservoir bubbles a little bit so i shut off the car then i lift the pressure release latch on the rad cap and the coolant reservoir tank starts filling up and as soon as i stop lifting the latch , the colant level starts rising , any clue what the problem might be ? do i have too much coolant in my system ? or wtf this is pmo!

Re: Cool Bird

Yeah......check your thermostat. Also make sure your water pump is circulating coolant. The top rad hose should have pressure on it. You should also be able to feel coolant flowing if the pump is working good. If you cant feel it, open the rad and see if coolant is moving. Are you getting any abnormal temp readings????

Re: Cool Bird

thermo. is brand new , water pump is brand new, i can see coolant flowing , and high temps are the usual 230* then the fan turns on but it comes on too lates so it goes up a couple degrees then little by little it will drop , but it hardly does nothing btw " motor is good on fan " i just purchased a new fan siwtch from summit, on @ 200,off @ 185 , maybe that will help the temps , but otther then that , i dont know why it overfills
