AC Compressor

Right now my ac isnt charged, but i was wondering if i charged it if it would work because my ac condenser in the front the fins are very weak and fragile and crumble apart when touched. Is this normal for the condenser or is this a problem?

You don’t mean “compressor” you mean “condenser” and yes you will derive an A/C performance increase if you replace that dirty old benty finned front thing.

Because there is no freon in it it’s the best time to do it.

Happy Racing!

Fog lights are not driving lights. They look doofy. Turn em off slow pokes.

How bout those nervous nellies too scared to drive without headlights on in the daytime or if there is a little rain!

Those condenser fins are what sheds the heat from the system. The more heat they shed, the colder your A/C will be. (Remember air conditioning isn't about making things colder. It's about removing heat and only having cold left over)

They shouldn't crumble in your fingers. I've heard that Proliance makes a direct fit 6 mm picallo condenser that is better than the stock tube and fin....Parallel flow condensers are the best performers. But as far as I know, require custom lines to connect to our systems.
