Temp. guage going nuts!
On my '88 with an L03 my temp guage never rises above 130 or so degrees. I have replaced the temp. sensor, thermostat, and about to replace fan switch. I live in Texas and don't use the heater often, but yesterday when I turned heater on, my temp. guage shot up above the 220 mark. Needle was almost straight up. My engine never got to the point of overheating, and the heater works fine. What might cause this? Is it just a faulty or crappy gauge? Also does it hurt for my temp. to be 130? Supreme Member

Gage Rage
It sounds as if the gage is either faulty, has a loose connection in the dash or wiring going to it from the sensor, or has a broken trace in the dash circuit board.

If People Drove Any Slower They’d Be Going Backwards
When you see fog or “running” lights on in good weather beware. Low performance driver ahead.
How bout those nitwits too scared to drive without headlights in the daytime
and the nitwits that need headlights for a little rain
