running hot

ok well i had a problem with my waterpump its just give up on me
so went to get a other on had a friend put it in he cracked the pulley idk how but he did so i went to the junkyard and got one off a 3500 v6 bolt right up since the A.I.R is out had to get a other belt 918k6 worked great put a 180 themo in and flush the coolant and fulled it with dexcool got it for cheap so why not that was in dead winter now it like 60-70 degrees the car heats up in less then 8 mins and when i'm in traffic the fan is always on i was just wondering would the bigger pulley off the 3500 do this or the dexcool ?
because i remember it being 80-90 degrees and my car would take forever to hit 220

Re: running hot

Had to read that a couple of times to understand it. Its like one long sentence. Is the pulley smaller or bigger than the original?

Re: running hot

if the pulley is any bigger, its going to slow down your water pump, and give you much less flow. Look into buying a stock replacement pulley on either summit or jegs.
