Please tell me I'm not screwed

Hey. I left my 91 GTA at home while I was at school last week. My dad noticed it was low on coolant and dumped half a gallon of Dexcool. I know these ran on conventional coolant, and plus I HATE Dexcool (it killed the UIM and the LIM on my 04 Impala). I probably put about 120miles on it since he put it in there.

So should I just drain out the radiator and flush out the overflow tank? I want to get all the maintenance done tomorrow so I can enjoy the nice weather.

Thanks.

Re: Please tell me I'm not screwed

My main ride is a Bonneville that has Dexcool. From what I've read on the Bonne forum I'm a part of you don't want to mix the two types! My car is high mileage with dex cool but I flush and fill with dex and supposedly most are fine if it's had it since the start and flush accordingly (with maintenance schedule). I was told never to mix the two though, it can thicken or gel up supposedly and that can cause problems. Somebody can correct me if I'm wrong but I'd say flush it out.

From what I have been told if it was not made to run dex it will gel up? I would flush as soon as you can either way.
