2 13s have more core cover than a single 16...and this is the only way they will fit

Is that your radiator, or someone you know? Ive got the same one and was wondering what you did for the upper rad mount? The stock one is too short to reach.

Re: Sngle or dual aftermarket fan

I run a single fan off a 1996(?) Lincoln Mark VIII. This thing move a ton of air. Most things I've read say its a little over 3500 CFM. I believe it. It does put a good draw on the alternator, but I dont think you will find an electric fan setup that moves more air. The shroud that comes with the fan is also very easy to modify to make it fit. I have a 31 X 19.5 inch aluminum radiator and this works perfectly. If you want, I can take pics to show you how easy it is to mount.

Re: Sngle or dual aftermarket fan

The fan shroud is almost a perfect box which makes it easy to mount. The only thing I did forget about is wether it would work on a stock radiator. Mine is a good bit bigger than stock and I actually cut out the stock lower radiator crossmember and made a new one that drops down an inch or two. I also had to make a mount up top. Mine isnt as nice as twinturbo's, but it works. Basically the fan comes with 4 tabs sticking out. I just cut them off and then I had a perfect box to work with. The size of the fan is about 18.75" by 22". I just took some 1" 90 degree aluminum and made brackets out of it to mount the fan. On the bottom the aluminum piece just slips inbetween the fan and the tabs I have to locate the radiator. You could probably bolt the fan to the stock radiator if the stock one has the aluminum tabs on top and bottom. Up top, it slips inbetween the bracket I made and the radiator. All I have to do is unplug the fan and take off the top mount and it slips right out. When you look at the shap of the blades you will see why this fan moves so much air.
