Radiator fan cooling question
Do the 92 Firebirds have a sensor to turn the radiator fan on at a certain temp? Mine comes on fine with the ac on, the temp guage is accurate but it will run up to 220 or so when sitting for a short while and I would think if it does have a sensor the fan would cut on at around 180. Thanks for any info!

facory fan(s) come on @220 or so you would need a temp switch to make it come on at a lower temp

Re: Radiator fan cooling question
Mine can sit until it starts to redline if I let it so I guess a new switch is needed. Thanks

Re: Radiator fan cooling question
Fans from the factory won't turn on at 180°. Stock thermostat is 195° after all. You'd need a fan switch to turn it on cooler. I like the 200-185° fan switch (Hypertech). Although some like the 176-166° fan switch option. I find it too cold.
Stock fan on/off specs are in my sig.
