Question about using a Temperature Probe for fan control ( Part #733647 )
Hi All,
I was reading the commonly asked questions thread and it seems using a temp probe to control the duel electric fans might be a solution for me, but wanted to ask a couple questions to the folks that have used this.
Currently my secondary fan comes on with ignition...im not sure if the kid that owned the car swapped connectors or what he did or how he managed to run it all the time with ignition, the relay looks like it was opened up so im not sure if he did something to that or not...just an assumption. The primary plug is fried im assuming he tried hard wiring both fans and melted one. I changed the primary fan so I know the fan that is in there now works.
I would like to run both fans but I would like to run it safely. If I buy the above part number is from autozone. Can I power both fans through my one working power feed into this unit then send the signal to both fans?

that kit comes with two leads to run two fans. but that will be a lot of draw on it. i have used two of those before and had them set at different temps which worked really well. or get that and put in a better relay.

Thanks for the response. I'm borrowing an inductive amp meter from work and ill measure out the amps and size my relay accordingly.

here are some relays that will handle the load.
