Stock coolant fan info

My car is overheating on hot days. I am looking to upgrade the coolant fan. In order to pick the right fan i was wondering... on a 1986 Trans am with the 305 vin F TPI what was the amperage of the stock fan along with how many cfms of air did it move? Thanks.

Re: Stock coolant fan info

uhm to be honest youd be good with any aftermarket fan setup, like a flexalite fan, i mean our cars are old, and im sure that motor doesnt push the factory cfms like it used to, you could even go with a dual fan setup like the tpi's, one of my buddies got a fan out of a taurus and that thing cools like crazy! i dont know why ford made such a strong fan for a grandma car but daaaamn alot of my import friends have swapped over to that and a few thirdgen buddies have the same i swear that thing could take off if it wasnt bolted down properly
