sensors, relay switch

I have an 87 305 trans am and need to know where the fan switch sensors and relay switch are located. I have a new electrical part that is supposed to be the part that I need to replace to make the fan turn on at somewhere around 220 degrees, but don't know for sure where to plug it in. The part has a couple of numbers on it, A103/00001 and 0004, made in Taiwan. It has four terminals inside of it. I have a single cooling fan. Can somebody clue me in on where it goes?

no idea what you have, or where it would "plug in"

if you need the fans to come on earlier, you need a new fan switch, its located in the passengerside head, between cylinders 6 and 8 ( back 2). It has a 1 wire connector.

you can get them from various places, Jet, hypertech, ect.

Not sure which fan switch setup you have as sometimes there are differences. As //<86TA>\\ said, you can check on the passenger head between cylinders 6 & 8 but you said you have a 4 wire sensor so I'm thinking the part you have might be what's shown about half way down in this post:

On my TPI 86 single fan setup, the relay for the fan is mounted next to the battery on the outer metal of the radiator support. If you look in this picture I used in another post for something else, you can see the fan relay on the lower right of the picture:

Re: sensors, relay switch

The fan relay on the lower right of the picture looks similar to the switch I've got. I don't remember seeing one in this same location on mine, but I'll look closer at it tomorrow. I appreciate the help and will post what I end up doing.

Re: sensors, relay switch

i see your fan connector looks like mine...plastic all kind of melted and such, as well as all my relay switches.. do you know if this is common, is it worth switching the ends.. or is it even possible??
