E-Fan woes

Here is the situation. Ever since I upgraded my 85' TPI to an 89' TPI, '165 ecm $6E mask my E-fan no longer turns on. When I jump the hot orange wire at the relay with the black wire that goes to the fan, the fan turns on. I have replaced the relay, so I don't think it is the culprit. The 10 amp FP Fan fuse is fine, but there is also a 20 amp ch fan? this fuse is fine but there is only one connector to it? There is a brown wire to it, should the other go to ground, or am I missing something? The temperature sensor is working since I have dataloged, and the temperature reads correctly.

aside from all of this, I removed the ac so I had to jump the ac pressure switch wires together.

What am I missing? According to ******* tech article, my fan switch should be mechanical, but from looking at my setup it looks to be an ecm controlled single e-fan? Is this even possible or do I have no idea what I am talking about?

Any help would be great

Without looking at all your modifications the fastest pit-stop would be install or replace the fan thermal switch.

It’s a one wire hookup which goes to the fan relay.

At most parts stores you will have a choice of temperature ranges from which to choose.

It’s located on the lower right side, near the rear of the engine.

Happy Racing!
