Just need to know how many cans before I order O_o
I wont need to add any mineral oil, will I? I'm simply evacuating/vacuuming/recharging.
Thanks

You’ll be using about 2½ pounds and you’ll want to end up with ~225 PSI at the high side, and ~27 PSI at the low side on an 80° day when the AC is running, engine ~1500 RPM.

If you don’t know if there’s enuff oil in the system add 4 ounces.

If you have no oil you will damage the compressor.

Too much oil will cause less cooling - the lesser of the 2 evils.

Happy Racing!

Re: Refrigerant Capacity?

36 oz would be R-12. Autofrost uses 80% of the R-12 amount......80% of 2.25 lbs = 1.8 lbs. That is exactly 3 cans of Autofrost.

Vacuuming won't remove any mineral oil. You should be fine there.

Be prepared for some amazingly cold air conditioning. Autofrost cools about 10° colder than R-12. Faster initial cool down as well. You'll like it.
