trans fluid temp gauge?????
our cars do not have these so where would i install a sending unit, to get a good reading, and to not leak! also oil temp sending also? i could try to do the oil one where the oil pressure switch is,
would that give me an accurate temp reading tho?

Re: trans fluid temp gauge?????
best place for the tranny temp sender is in the pan-
could braze a fitting into the side of a stock steel pan
or drill +tap an aluminum pan for the sender.
Could also put the sender in the "out"cooler line that
goes to the cooler-i have used both locations and they
gave about the same temp
For an engine oil temp sender,in the pan is good and
there is a port in the side of the block above the filter
that is a good location-that is where mine is,corvettes
used this location too.
the oil pressure gauge fitting at the back of the block
is not good for a temp gauge because though there is
pressure there, there is not really any flow past and
you will not get an accurate temp reading...
