heater coil bypass?
i recently found out i have no heat. it looks like the guy that had it before me removed the coolant line from the core and ran it behind the coil and distributer. first just to be sure there is a fitting next to the ac unit coming through the firewall that is the heater coil inlet correct?

The two pipes coming from the firewall between the distributor and the blower box are the heater core.

Re: heater coil bypass?
If the heater core is bypassed, almost guaranteed it's leaking (most folks bypass when they leak), so might as well replace it before you reconnect, or else you might overheat and end up with a pass side floorboard full of coolant.

Yep. I can't think of a single reason why anybody would bother to bypass it other than the heater core leaking.

Re: heater coil bypass?
I bypassed mine and there's enough heat from the engine bay/firewall to have heat....hahaha
