CT gauge reads full

I just replaced the sender for the gauge (driver side head) and now the temperature reads completely full. Now I know if you ground a sensor it reads high, so does that mean the green wire is grounded somewhere in the system I can't see? When I unplug it the gauge goes to zero so I know the gauge itself works. Thanks in advance!

Re: CT gauge reads full

if you unplug it, and the guage does to zero, the sender is bad, even if its "new"

You're sure there couldn't be a wiring issue? I mean I planned on exchanging it tomorrow to be safe but I was still wondering if it could be anything else. Thanks

That sender is either junk, or it's not the right one.

Exchanged the sensor and it works just fine now. Now I need the fan switch because I grounded the connector to the switch and it turned the fans on, but they don't come on on their own. Thanks for the help!
