84 non fan to fan conversion help needed
84 non fan to fan conversion help needed
I have an 84 Z28 with a 305. I'm putting in a ZZ4. It has a serpentine belt system on it with no fan attached. So I need to add an electric fan... so my questions...
1. I read several posts that recommend a "corvette switch" for $20, can I "create" my own circuit using this temp sensor and harness to control an electric fan?
2. Can I keep my existing radiator? Its an aftermarket one
3. Should I use a single or double fan setup?
thanks in advance!

Aftermarket electric fans usually come with ties like a ziptie that hold them to the radiator. Any aftermarket fan of your choosing & that fits would be fine - you'd probably want as fast a cfm fan as you can afford that fits well. I'd seriously look into an aftermarket controller, I have a Flex-a-Lite controller, it's really easy to wire, has provisions for manual on/off switches, is totally temperature adjustable, probes radiator for temp, and a great product - best $100 I ever spent!
