Re: Canton fabricated coolant tank.

I just ditched my washer bottle. If it gets bad I will just stop at a gas station and use a squeege. And I just ordered my Canton 2 days ago, they make good stuff. I also have their 7qt road race oil pan.

Cheap, Chinese junk. They work but I would rather pay more for a part made here.

Check the fabrication board. A member over there made washer and overflow from pvc and mounted it down there.

Re: Canton fabricated coolant tank.

Just to let you guys know. Canton now sells these with vented caps. You can also buy the vented cap separately for those that need one. Their new style cap also looks better.

Re: Canton fabricated coolant tank.

Any else purchased one of these recently? I just got mine, drop shipped from Canton. Threw in 2 bolts and I don't think it's anywhere close to where it's supposed to be. I don't think even elongating the holes 1/4" or so will straighten it up. For the price, I really don't feel I should have to modify it to fit.

Re: Canton fabricated coolant tank.

It's crooked indeed. Do you have the lower bolt in? Looks like there's nothing there. All the holes are slotted, you should be able to move it about a bit.

Re: Canton fabricated coolant tank.

Yeah, there's a long bolt in both the holes, but no nuts on the back side. One bolt is silver, one is black, so it's hard to see. Adding nuts would pull it tight but in the same spot as pictured.

The slots don't allow much movement. Even if I made them bigger, it's just that far off.

I received an email back from Canton. They're not sure what happened as it is welded on a jig, but would check with their QA/QC guys for ideas. Last thing I want to do is start to bend and modify it for them to say to send it back. It seems like that it's been a few years since anyone here has purchased one so I was just thinking they had a new jig or something.
