What thread size on high and low a/c ports?
I just bought an a/c manifold with gauges. The low side gauge and hose works great on the car. However, the high side hose has the same size thread as the low side. So needless to say it wont go on the smaller high side port in my camaro.
My A/C is from a 90 camaro.
What thread sizes are the high and low ports? Im assuming I need an adapter to make these gauges work.
Thanks
Brad

nobody?
Guess I'll be going to NAPA tomorrow if they are open. Hopefully they have some kind of adapter that will work. I know I will need some kind of specialty thing that will open both schrader valves.

Low side and hoses is 1/4
Im assuming the high side is 1/8. Will find out when the adapter I ordered gets here.
Hopefully I will get this thing figured out before too long. I need to get this A/C working. Starting to get hot!

High side is not an 1/8. It is not a 3/16.
I have no clue what I need. 1/4 slips right over it, 3/16 is too small. I seriously doubt they make a 5/32 but I dont know what else to do but check.
I really need to hook up to the high side to know exactly what my system is doing.

Re: What thread size on high and low a/c ports?
If you ever have this problem, just do what I did. It is so much easier.
I ended up just getting some of the R12 to R134a conversion ports. They thread right over the existing high and low side ports on the car. Then I just use my R134a quick connects.
Im not selling the car so I dont really care for mixing the components. Im the only one working on it and I remember it is R12
