Help Vacume Lines Stock 1991 RS TBI
Help Vacume Lines Stock 1991 RS TBI
Can someone take a pic of there vacuum lines near the heater core at the fire wall in the engine compartment? When I changed the heater lines and the heater valve I forgot how it was all plugged in. The book I have has no details other than mark before you unplug lol. Another thing after I replaced all the heater lines and did flush on the engine. It runs great at idle but as soon as you hit the gas it dies unless you pump it. I checked all the electrical lines and everything is plugged in. Also it's not hard starting either. I'm hoping its the lines but I'm leaning that it might be a TPS...
Re: Help Vacume Lines Stock 1991 RS TBI
I found this thread but did see the line where they hooked up I have two plastic lines coming from the wire harness and have no clue where they go and if I hooked the ohter up correctly...
Re: Help Vacume Lines Stock 1991 RS TBI
This isn't the setup I have... I have one line that goes from the carbon canister and run the length of my front fender to my brake boaster and tucks in under the lip of the seal for the hood and goes to about the same place as the egr valve. I think I might have lost a part not sure maybe a secondary hose splinter for the vacuum line... But I don't recall seeing more than one and I have that one hooked up. What itsn't shown in the pic is the vacuum off the intake that has a splitter off of it.
Could the plastic vacuum lines go to the tank?

The pic not of my car but the pic of where the lines are at is here.
You can't see the lines because of other things are blocking it tho but the plastic line are in this area...

Re: Help Vacume Lines Stock 1991 RS TBI
the line you are talking about that comes from a canister. could it be the vacuum pod under the tray where your evap canister is. if so this goes to the a/c system. if your set up is not the above set up then something is wrong with the lines. i have a 92 rs and have worked on quite a few 1991 tbi's and they are all the same.
