87 5.7 iroc z runs hot, help please?!

I have an 87 iroc z with the l98 350 engine in it.

Its been getting up past 210, and while driving conservatively it runs between 220-230 deg.

Ive replaced the thermostat with a 160 deg, replaced the water pump, and radiator cap.

The fan is wired to stay constant.

IT doesnt have an air dam, but im not so sure that could be causing all of this.

Is this something to worry about? i dont know whats actually considered "overheating"

Any help/ideas would be much appreciated!

Gotta have the air dam and baffle or you will have a bunch of cooling problems. Id put a 180 stat in there too.

+1 the 160 is way to cold and the air dam is a must.

I had the same issue and trust me its the AIRDAM I dint believe that a little piece of plastic wold work better than an aluminum radiator and 3000 cfm fan
